NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — In an orderly manner, young ones at the Kirkpatrick Neighborhood Center are finding out the basic principles of meal prepping.
Classes deal with everything from cleanliness to secure knife handling procedures.
“We want to equip kids with different variants of nutritious veggies and fruits and that is what we want to introduce to this program,” Tiffanie Fletcher, system coordinator for the middle, reported.
About 200 learners in less than-served communities will be able to delight in the cost-free classes. Fletcher claimed the funding will come from the federally sponsored Little one and Adult Treatment Foodstuff Plan.
“It’s a funded plan and they reimburse us for all meals that we do for our little ones, but a person of the components in the application approach is that we need to be teaching and aiding youngsters make all those healthier options,” she explained.
